Parkinson Drummer Overcoming

Overcoming, Music therapy and Social Responsability.

About the Project

What we do?

We act on several ways in order to achieve the Project's objectives.

Overcoming

Be given a death sentence may be the end for many. In our lectures, we show that it is at times like this that many find the strength to turn things around and give new meaning to their lives.

Music therapy

Music as medicine and therapy. We will show through all possible social media how the inclusion of music in the daily routine brings benefits and improvement in the quality of life.

Social Responsability

No legacy lasts if not passed on. One of our goals is to teach music to children, so that the music can draw and offer the same benefits that we emphasize so much.

Events

Our Schedule. Lectures, concerts and more events.

  • "We must make people aware that, contrary to what general thinking, Parkinson's disease affects not only elderly people, but YOUNG people as well; It is not only the tremor in the hands. It is also the pain - in the body and the soul - the uncertainty of a normal life, the daily mood changes, pain, tremor, concentration, the gentle movements that until then were normal, but that are no longer so precise ... "

    André Gubolin e Vanessa Gomes

  • "To this day, I still struggle to accept that I have a movement disorder. Shame appart, it necessary to accept that simple tasks like having a cup of coffee or even having lunch will make people stare at you like something beyond normal is happening. When I knew about the Drummer Parkinson Overcoming Project I understood that I don't have to hide my condition and I must fight for people to respect, accept and learn to live with Parkinson's, Essential Tremor (my case) and other movement disorders.
